The high streets are flooding with people, the markets are springing up in town and city centers across the country and the festivities are in full swing.
While it is a time of great celebration and merriment, Christmas can also be incredibly stressful; not only are there gifts to buy, there is work to complete before the New Year, plus there is a substantial amount of preparation that needs to be undertaken before the calendar makes its way to the 25th of December. But the festive season need not be a time of panic and pressure.
Below is a shortlist of a few great apps that will help you manage the less than exciting parts of the Yuletide season, and add an agreeable boost of festive cheer to the most wonderful time of the year.

With updates to mobile operating systems landing yearly, businesses can be forgiven for not keeping up with the full roster of features available. For many, the announcement of a new OS is generally met with indifference, and the release is greeted by the irritation of a 15-minute download.
Android Pie was initially released on the 6th of August, and has since been making the rounds of all major Android mobile manufacturers. iOS 12 is a newer addition, having a launch date of the 17th September. But what do these releases mean for businesses, and why should anyone care?

The hotel industry is one of the top sectors to suffer data breaches. Cyber criminals love the fact that hotels potentially can have lots of information: your name, address, passport details, and credit card details to name but a few. And that’s before you get to the check in desk.
Once checked in, you connect to the WiFi network and are required to enter personal details. Where does this data get collected? Most Guest WiFI access has a software that sits behind the access points and stores all this information. The repercussions, if a cybercriminal gains access to the backend, can be potentially catastrophic.
Here are some tips so you can protect yourself when you need to access hotel and other public WiFi spots.

Launching a scientific product come with many challenges. All products we invent begin as ideas. Any idea is, though, just the beginning of a story. There’s an endless supply of great ideas out there, but not everyone is willing to endure all the hard work required to turn an idea into reality.
Many a dreamer will have an idea and get very excited. However, when the going gets tough, most will give up and move on to something else, unless they have a particularly powerful drive to achieve the goal.

Now is a very good time to be an online marketplace founder. Marketplaces are disrupting just about every industry and global growth continues to explode. In 2017, Amazon generated $31.88 billion in third-party seller service revenues, up from $22.99 billion in the previous year.
Third-party sellers are those who sell their products via sites like Amazon—rather than from their own website. This allows Amazon to generate additional revenue without stocking additional products. It also offers the seller a platform, with a proven ‘footfall’, upon which to sell their products—without the need to set up their own eCommerce site from scratch.
The giants such Amazon and eBay will continue to dominate, but they may not always be the right choice for specialist sellers who want to reach a bigger audience and continue to give their customers great value and exemplary service. That is why we’ve seen more niche and specialized marketplaces spring-up and succeed in recent years. They offer alternatives to more generalized platforms that may not have as much focus on seller and customer support, or may not be able to attract the niche audience needed.

Recently, Samsung announced their folding Galaxy X smartphone. This followed the launch of the FlexPai by Royole Corp and there are rumors of similar devices from Motorola, LG, Huawei and Apple launching in 2019. Many app owners are becoming concerned about how these devices will impact their apps and websites.
From the announcements, patent applications and design concepts, the main goal for the manufacturers seems to be to design devices which offer a smaller, more convenient form factor but with the benefit of large screen real estate. The demand for bigger pocket-sized devices has been clear, as all device manufacturers (including Apple – despite Steve Job’s best wishes) now offer oversized pocket-bulging devices.
As this trend seems to be increasing, and with the introduction of devices which unfold to support such demands, usage patterns will change and users and app owners will find new ways to take advantage of the technology advances.

When they first list their property on Airbnb, most people think of it as an easy way to make more money. But managing your property takes up to a day per week of rental as you: manage your listing, respond to inquiries, wash sheets and towels, check guests in and out and deal with general admin.
In some countries, you have to register your property as a short-term rental business, issue invoices and/or report guests’ identities to comply with local regulations.
Due to all this work, it’s estimated that 40-50% of new hosts leave the market within the first year.

Equity crowdfunding is a brilliant way of raising new funds both for young business looking to get off the ground and giants such as BrewDog who are seeking to grow rapidly and capitalize on the publicity.
However, it can also be quite a scary concept for those unfamiliar with the process, and understandably so. Essentially, you’re publicly asking the world to endorse your idea with their money, so the fear of failure can be immense!
Crowdfunding platforms do their best to support campaigners, but it would be near-impossible to provide a standard solution to help each and every business that approaches them. Each campaign requires a lot of time, dedication and thorough research to set it up for success.

Until quite recently the electric vehicle (EV) was viewed as an idea largely promoted by environmentalists. However, there has been a rapid rise in the popularity of EVs.
In 2010, only around 100 EVs were sold in the US, yet by 2017 over 200,000 were sold. In total, there are estimated to be over a million EVs currently on the road in the US alone. Research suggests that by 2030 there will by 500 million EVs worldwide and that, given the exponential growth rate so far, even that figure may be an underestimation.
There is an infrastructure issue currently facing the EV market – availability of charge points. There is a shared pain for all drivers worrying about how far they can drive before they might get stranded.
Given the rapid speed at which the EV market is evolving and the issues for mass-adoption, let’s look as what may happen to increase charge points.
